The Elegant Porcelain Oil & Vinegar Cruets are a matched pair of serving vessels that bring understated refinement to the dining table. Made from fine, translucent porcelain and finished with a clear, high-gloss glaze that allows the pure white of the porcelain to speak for itself, these cruets have the same quality of elegant restraint as the finest Japanese and Nordic tableware — beauty that comes from perfection of form and material rather than from decoration.
Each cruet has a slightly different form to allow easy identification: the oil cruet is slightly taller and narrower with a long, thin spout designed for a controlled, slow pour; the vinegar cruet is slightly shorter and wider with a broader spout that delivers a quicker, more generous pour. Both have a simple, refined loop handle and a fitted cork stopper — the only material other than porcelain in the piece, and a deliberate choice: cork is natural, food-safe, and seals the cruet effectively while adding a warm, organic note to an otherwise pure and refined object.
Each cruet holds approximately 200ml — enough for a dinner party without the need to refill mid-meal, but not so large as to be unwieldy at the table. The spouts are designed to pour cleanly without dripping: the oil spout is long enough to allow the flow of oil to separate from the spout cleanly; the vinegar spout has a small lip that prevents the last drops from running down the outside of the cruet.
Both cruets are dishwasher-safe (without the cork stoppers, which should be hand-washed and dried). They are sold as a pair and are presented in a gift box. They make an excellent housewarming or wedding gift for anyone who values beautiful objects for the dining table.
