The Contemporary Geometric Tea Pot reimagines the traditional teapot through the lens of modern design, replacing the conventional rounded forms with clean, angular geometry that feels at once fresh and timeless. The body is faceted — composed of flat planes that meet at crisp edges — creating a form that catches the light dramatically and gives the pot an architectural presence on the table. The spout is a long, straight pour with a slight upward curve at the tip, designed for a clean, drip-free pour. The handle is an angular loop that echoes the overall geometric language of the piece.
The pot holds approximately 900ml — enough for four generous cups of tea — and the lid fits precisely with a quarter-turn locking mechanism that prevents it from falling off during pouring, a practical refinement that makes the pot genuinely user-friendly as well as beautiful. The lid knob is a small, faceted form that echoes the geometry of the pot body and provides a secure grip for removal even with a wet hand.
The glaze is a deep, semi-matte charcoal that emphasises the angular geometry of the form by creating subtle tonal variation at the edges and planes. This is a deliberate glaze choice: a high-gloss finish would reflect so much light from the faceted surfaces that the geometry would become confusing to the eye; the semi-matte finish allows the form to read clearly while still having depth and richness.
The pot is made from high-fired porcelain and is safe for boiling-water temperatures. It is dishwasher-safe and can be used on a trivet directly from the microwave. The strainer insert, included with the pot, is made from food-safe stainless steel and removes for cleaning.
